Birdie is a completely new approach to independent living for seniors – helping them live longer, safer, and happier in their own homes and on their own terms.  Launched in the UK, it’s an app-accessible care technology platform that supports both care professionals and families.

Birdie collects data on each individual from two key sources. Caregivers record notes of their visits and observations within the app. Connected sensors around the home monitor activity and detect significant incidents, such as falls or wandering – alerting those who are on standby to resolve any issues.

The system is designed to deliver peace of mind and enable rapid, appropriate intervention. Geriatric specialists estimate that Birdie’s prevention analytics lower emergency admissions to hospital by as much as 20%, saving both lives and resources.

It currently partners with 130 care home agencies and serves more than 7,000 adults across the UK.
